In today’s shocking news we have that Selena Gomez spent two weeks in a rehab center in Arizona. The “Come And Get It” singer was admitted to the Dawns At The Meadows center on Jan 5., just two days after she was spotted riding segways with Justin Bieber in his neighborhood of Calabasas, California and a day after he posted an intimate picture cuddling with Selena on his Instagram.

So, was that encounter a way for Selena to say goodbye to the Biebs for good? We sure hope so. According to RadarOnline, who first broke the news of Selena’s rehab stint, a source close to Gomez revealed that in the months before she admitted herself to the facility, she had been “partying very hard” and that her on-again/off-again relationship with Justin Bieber had left her “broken-hearted.”

“Selena came to understand just what a bad influence Justin had been on her life,” one source added, according to RadarOnline. “Their relationship left her broken-hearted.” Also, according to TMZ, Selena blames a lot of her problems on the excesses she was exposed to by being around Bieber and his buddies.

However, all that partying and exposure to Bieber’s now infamous lifestyle just seems to have left Selena exhausted and not addicted to substances as her rep denies reports that she was struggling with drugs or alcohol use. "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," the rep told E! News.

At least now we have the answer why she canceled her Stars Dance tour of Asia and Australia back in December. "My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them," Gomez said in a statement at the time.

"But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me." And we hope Selena feels better and carries on with her life without any major setbacks.
