Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez might be rekindling their romance. The pair was spotted together on Thursday, Jan. 2 riding segways in The Oaks, a gated community of Bieber’s Calabasas, California neighborhood. The couple was accompanied by a bodyguard.This encounter comes just weeks after Selena canceled her world tour claiming she wanted some “me time” to focus on being healthy (reports surfaced that the singer has been battling Lupus and was weakened by it), and after Justin announced his retirement and revealed that “[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It’s such a public thing. It’s just hard for the both of us. but you know, she’s a great woman. I love her ’til this day.”

The segway reunion was captured by onlookers passing by and quickly posted on social media. Nick Sanitsky first spotted them, and was quick to post their encounter on Twitter, along with a picture. “Bieber and Selena segwaying in the Oaks. She was so nice, so he yelled at us,” he wrote. Not too long after he added: “Shoutout to @justinbieber for holding up all the traffic in the Oaks. Grow up.” Twitter user @madliebz posted another photo of the pair, captioning it “Hey Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber...I thought u broke up???”

According to Guardian Liberty Voice, an unnamed source reportedly claimed that this is not the first time that the couple has been “hanging out” in the past few days. The insider also claimed that Bieber has been offering his support to Gomez as she improves her health. Perez Hilton quoted the source, “He’s been trying to get her back for ages and he’s still trying. She’s not back with him but they’re back on way better terms so the door is open for that for sure.” Only time will tell if the pop stars will get back together officially or if this was just a little New Year fling!
