Sarah Ferguson is making an emotional appeal to Prince Charles in the wake of her ex-husband Prince Andrew's scandal.
Whether the Duke of York is convicted guilty or not in his upcoming sexual assault trial, he has already suffered a significant setback.
Following the allegations, BBC News said Prince Andrew's mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William met in a crisis conference and agreed to withdraw his HRH title, military affiliations, and royal patronages.
Fergie, Duchess of York, his loving ex-wife, is now terrified that she may be the next to die.
Despite being divorced for 11 years, the 62-year-old has resided in Prince Andrew's home, the Royal Lodge, since 2006.
A source told New Idea that Fergie is becoming increasingly concerned that her head is about to be chopped off.
"The Queen likes Sarah and has always turned a blind eye to her unorthodox living arrangement with Andrew," the source said.
According to the insider, Fergie "won't be able to fly under the radar anymore" after Prince Charles takes over as the monarchy's next head.
Reports also mentioned Fergie is concerned that her Duchess of York title may be taken away as well, while Prince Andrew is allowed to keep his Dukedom.
Penny Junor, a royal author, feels that she will be fine once that happens.
She told the outlet, "I can't see that, no matter what happens. It would make no sense and would be deeply unfair. It can't be easy for her."
Fergie is now rumored to be preparing a meeting with Prince Charles to argue her case for remaining in the royal family.
"She's worked hard to get back in the family's good graces and she wants to stay there," the insider said.
"If rumors of kicking her out get any stronger, she'll have no shame in pleading her case directly to Charles," the source added.
Prince Andrew is ready to defend himself in a US courtroom against Virginia Giuffre, who alleges the royal forced him to have sexual contact with her when she was under the age of consent.
Many people believe that the royal family will settle out of court to avoid embarrassment to the British royal family.
The report from New Idea should be regarded with a grain of salt. Though Prince Andrew's royal titles were removed, it's unclear if Sarah Ferguson's duchess title was also removed.
