Reports said that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are reuniting amid the Duke's recent legal struggle.
The Duke of York's case has received much attention since officials revealed Prince Andrew works with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Reports said Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein's sex-trafficking victims, had also filed a case against the prince. Epstein allegedly sexually attacked her when she was a teenager and has now been recognized by the UK courts, an online tabloid said.
In the same article, a letter from the UK's HM Courts & Tribunals Service had surfaced, under the heading: "Re: Service of Foreign Process on Prince Andrew, Duke of York."
The Duke of York worked up with his legal staff to discover a method to avoid his current dilemma, according to the Globe (via Suggest).
Even though Prince Andrew could avoid all legal ramifications because Roberts lives in the United States, the magazine said he could be extradited to the US to face trial. The victim's defense team may decide to call Sarah Ferguson, the victim's ex-wife, to testify alongside Roberts.
However, the publisher added that if the former husband and wife planned to remarry before the testification, the requirement to justify against her "husband" might no longer be necessary. Aside from their reconciliation, the insider added that the two are still in love and intend to marry again.
A source close to Ferguson even called it "nonsense." Another insider contradicted the claim, saying: "Virginia's lawyers are threatening to force Sarah to testify for her and destroy Andrew's alibi, but if Sarah and Andrew are married, she won't have to."
Suggest claimed that the Duke of York is unlikely to be extradited. The U.K. police announced they will take "no further action" against him after examining the matter.
Andrew's legal team, on the other side, is optimistic that they will be able to dismiss the lawsuit on a technicality. While there's still a chance he'll be forced to confront the court, according to Suggest, "it's a bit premature to imply he's remarrying Ferguson just to poke holes in this litigation."
Even though the Duke and Duchess of York have an unusually close connection, some people suspect they will remarry.
Entertainment Online interviewed Ferguson over the matter. She said: "We are very happily divorced to each other, It seems to work. I suppose he understands that I have a lot to do in the world."
