Well 'Once Upon A Time' fans the writers have heard your wish for Emma Swam and Captain Hook to well...hook up. A new photo released from the creators of "Once Upon A Time" show the pair in an intimate embrace while walking through the treacherous forest in Neverland. Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive photo showing Emma holding tight onto Hook's collar as the sexy pirate leans in for a kiss. Ever since Hook and Emma first met in season two there have been rumors the pair would get together.
"I kind of knew at some point it was coming," says Jennifer Morrison to Entertainment Weekly about Emma and Hook's kiss. "I knew from all the way back, when they brought both Michael Raymond James and Colin O'Donoghue on, that it was always their intention to create some sort of love triangle with the two of them and Emma...having a very legitimate pull between these two men." Michael Raymond James plays Neal, Emma's former love and Henry's father. Emma and the rest of the OUAT crew believe Neal is dead.
In fact Emma and Hook bond over their mutual admiration for Neal in the season premiere and share a drink to his memory. Neal is far from dead and is in fact on his way to Neverland with the plan of saving Emma from whatever has brought her there. Neal has no idea that Emma and her family are on a rescue mission of their own. Peter Pan has taken Henry and Emma is willing to do whatever it takes to get her son back.
Is the search for Henry what brings Hook and Emma together? We have seen in the past the Hook has a soft side, especially for Emma. When Neal was a child he spend a great deal of time with Hook on board the Jolly Roger. Hook betrayed Neal when he was a boy and perhaps Hook is looking to right that wrong by rescuing Neal's son. Hook also admitted that he "fancied" Emma, when she is not yelling at him of course.
Morrison continued speaking with Entertainment Weekly saying, "So I kind of was anticipating something coming - I just wasn't sure what and I wasn't sure how. So I definitely thought it was an excellent moment for them to have an unexpected kiss." Colin O'Donoghue also spoke with Entertainment Weekly about Hook and Emma's growing relationship. "I think there was always something there between the characters. So it's definitely something that was in the background, and I'm sure it's something the fans have wanted to see since my first episode."
