Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene praised Tesla's Cybertruck after the car used for an attack outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, saying the structure prevented the explosion from killing more people and also claiming she was impressed with its "full self driving feature." One people died and seven others suffered light injuries in the attack.

Greene echoed a statement by Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill, who said that the car "really limited the damage that occurred inside of the valet because it had most of the blast go up through the truck and out." "In fact if you look at the video you'll see that the front glass doors at the Trump Hotel were not even broken by the blast," the official added when describing the explosion.

Greene went on to say she drove a Cybertruck during the holidays and that she was particularly impressed with the full self driving feature as it drove her "to Starbucks and home flawlessly."

"But it's even more impressive that the integrity of the Cybertruck saved lives from the LV terrorist bomb. Now they need to release the name of the terrorist who did this," the lawmaker added.

The identity of the person who was driving the vehicle was revealed early on Thursday, with the driver who died named as Matthew Livelsberger, a 37-year-old Army veteran of Colorado Springs. He was behind the wheel of the car, which was filled with fireworks-style mortars, camping fuel and canisters, different outlets reported citing law enforcement sources. Livelsberger has several addresses in Colorado Springs. At least one of them was raided by federal forces on Wednesday. The FBI was investigating the case as a potential act of terrorism.

Speaking about the explosion, Tesla owner Elon Musk also said the car helped contain the explosion. "he evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken," he wrote alongside a post by journalist Nick Sortor regarding the explosion."

Musk has also criticized "legacy media" for supposedly ringing out misleading headlines about the Tesla Cybertruck "catching fire" or "exploding." He also replied to a post saying he should sue outlets that published such headlines saying "maybe it is time to do so."

Musk has also criticized "legacy media" for supposedly ringing out misleading headlines about the Tesla Cybertruck "catching fire" or "exploding." He reposted DogeDesigner, who said media headlines were misleading readers, "suggesting the Cybertruck caught fire or exploded due to a malfunction."
