A man allegedly stabbed his wife to death after their daughter refused to bring a bedsheet for him in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
The accused, identified as Shadab, asked his five-year-old daughter Saba to bring him a bedsheet before he was going to bed on Wednesday, Oct. 13. However, Saba did not bring him the bedsheet as she was busy playing, the Times Of India reported.
Saba's disobedience enraged Shadab and in a fit of rage, he thrashed his 35-year-old wife, Shababna alias Shabbow. When she resisted his attack, he picked up a knife and stabbed her multiple times with the knife.
Following the incident, the woman was rushed to a hospital for immediate treatment. However, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died while undergoing treatment at the hospital, NDTV reported.
Following her death, an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against the accused by the woman's father Ali Hasan. Based on the complaint lodged, officers launched an investigation into the stabbing incident and arrested Shadab.
In a similar but unrelated incident, a man reportedly stabbed his wife to death after the two engaged in a heated argument over their daughter's marriage in Bangalore, Karnataka, India on Saturday, Sept. 24, as previously reported.
The accused husband, identified as 40-year-old Munavar, recently found a match for his daughter's marriage. However, his 33-year-old wife Shahaida and his daughter reportedly did not agree to the alliance. When the daughter expressed her disinterest in getting married to the person, Munavar felt upset.
Munavar then questioned his wife and blamed her for their daughter's refusal to marry the person he had chosen. As their confrontation escalated, Munavar, in a fit of rage, took out a knife and allegedly brutally stabbed his wife on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
After stabbing Shahaida, Munavar reportedly fled the scene. Shahaida was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, despite undergoing treatment for two days at the facility, Shahaida succumbed to her injuries on Saturday evening, Sept. 24.
Following the incident, Devarajeevanahalli police registered a murder case and arrested Munavar on charges of killing his wife.
