After weeks of teasing her anxious "little monsters" Lady Gaga has finally released her album artwork cover for her upcoming "ARTPOP" album. Gaga tweeted the artwork Monday afternoon to show all her loyal fans but the cover artwork for "ARTPOP" was also displayed on digital billboards in 18 cities around the world including: Miami, London and Barcelona. CBS Miami reports that over a 30-minute span the billboard in Miami filled in piece by piece to show the complete album artwork cover.
Before the release of the cover artwork Gaga posted tweets announcing a new member to her family, Jeff Koons, who she subtly mentions in her single "Applause." Gaga tweeted, "Please welcome Jeff Koons into our family + shower him with love for the the talents he has shared with us. A pure and genuine collaborator." She also tweeted, "I'm nervous&excited to share something that's such a piece of my heart. Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his."
Gaga tweet showcasing the new artwork cover reads, "FULL ARTPOP ALBUM COVER.'One second I'm a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me!' #ApplauseJeffKoons." Turns out the artwork cover is a sculpture of Gaga done by artist Jeff Koons and the phrase is from her single "Applause."
In Koons piece it's quite a literal translation of her album title with the sculpture of Gaga sitting in the middle with a simple blonde hair style with blunt bangs holding her breast with a blue reflective ball in front of her waist. Her name is in pink blocked letters which also have slices of different pieces of art throughout the cover.
