Lady Gaga's latest album Art Pop was launched on Sunday night in New York to much fanfare: the party included artists Marina Abramovic and Jeff Koons. The singer has been making media rounds promoting the album and seems to have reignited old feuds with the likes of Perez Hilton and Madonna. In an interview with USA Today, Gaga talked candidly about her feelings for Hilton, while she dished her opinions on Madonna during and interview with radio host Howard Stern. Meanwhile Art Pop has been receiving mediocre reviews.
Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton's feud goes back to 2011 but it got really heated this year when both celebrities took to Twitter to attack each other. "It's fine to hate me afar. Everyone can hate me from afar. But the second you try to move in next door to me, I know you're getting too close, and it's not safe," Gaga told USA Today. "I get death threats all the time. Some things bring out the New Yorker in me. If you hate somebody and you want to move next door to me, the only thing I can think of is that you're moving in because you want to blow yourself up."
Perez Hilton has reacted predictably to the singer's comments. Hilton (real name: Mario Lavandeira) tweeted a link to the article and addressed the singer directly, writing, "I've got my son and mom here with me in NYC and you think I'm going to blow myself up? Stop doing drugs!!" He then took it even further by tweeting both of her parents saying "If your daughter ends up dead it's from a drug overdose. Not cuz I blew us up!" Gaga has not commented on Hilton's outburst.
Meanwhile, on Howard Stern, Gaga talked about her feud with the Queen of Pop Madonna. The two have been at war after Madonna claims Lady Gaga refused an invitation to perform a duet together. Madonna has also sampled 'Bor This Way' on her MDNA tour to show how similar it is to 'Express Yourself.' "There's not so many ways you can interpret it," Gaga told Stern. "To me honestly I think she's more aggravated that I'm not upset that she doesn't like me. Because I don't care that she doesn't like me, No, I don't care."
The pop princess talked about feuds with Hilton and Kelly Osbourne saying "All the feuds usually ... [are about] somebody is feuding with themselves about me."
