Kristen Stewart recently described Robert Pattinson as her first and best love. In a recent interview, the “Twilight” star revealed that she would have married Pattinson if he had proposed to her when they were still together.
Kristen Stewart and Pattinson first met each other on the set of “Twilight.” A few months after developing romantic feelings for each other and admitting their relationship, they revealed that they were already living under the same roof.
Recently on “The Howard Stern Show,” Stewart talked about her previous relationship with Pattinson. It can be recalled that after breaking up briefly following Stewart’s scandal with director Rupert Sanders, they got back together in 2012. However, they ultimately called it quits the following year. Their relationship was one of the most publicized relationships at the time and many of their fans were heartbroken when they did not end up together.
Reflecting on their young romance, Stewart admitted that Pattinson was her first love. She also said that she would have wanted to marry him had he proposed to her at the time.
According to Stewart, there was nothing she could do about falling in love with Pattinson during the “Twilight” days. She was head over heels for her co-star and their years of being together were some of the best years of her life.
The actress also denied that their relationship was a publicity stunt meant to build the hype around their “Twilight” movies. “We were together for years, that was my first love,” she said. Asked if she would have married Pattinson back then, she said, “I wanted to… Yeah.”
“I don’t know, I’m not super-duper traditionalist, but at the same time, every relationship I’ve ever been in, I thought that was it,” she said. “I’ve never really been the most casual person,” she added.
It remains unknown whether the media had to do with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s split, but Stewart said as far as her current relationship with screenwriter Dylan Meyer is concerned, being under constant paparazzi lens is definitely a nuisance. “You deprive yourself of so many experiences,” she said.
