Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are back in the limelight, after all the years that fans thought Robsten, or all talks about Robsten rather, are over. Stewart herself offered a rare glimpse of her relationship with the actor.
As she covers the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, Stewart also talks about her relationships, including one of her most controversial ones - with her “Twilight” co-star Pattinson. According to her, she tried to keep everything about her relationship with Robert Pattinson private, even though they did not have an idea how.
"When me and Rob were together, we did not have an example to go by. So much was taken from us that, in trying to control one aspect, we were just like, 'No, we will never talk about it. Never. Because it’s ours,'" Stewart explained.
Eventually, she and Pattinson broke up because she had an affair with director Rupert Sanders that, which went public. The two tried to reconcile but still broke up for good.
In her subsequent relationships, she became much more open. She also came out as a bisexual in 2017 and she did not like the idea of hiding the girls she’s dating. She had a lot to say about being forced to hide who she is, which she has no plans of doing anymore.
"What, you can't go outside with who you're with? You can't talk about it in an interview? I was informed by an old school mentality, which is -- you want to preserve your career and your success and your productivity, and there are people in the world who don't like you, and they don't like that you date girls, and they don't like that you don’t identify as a quote unquote 'lesbian,' but you also don't identify as a quote unquote 'heterosexual.' And people like to know stuff, so what the f**k are you?" she asked.
She added that job opportunities were at stake just because she refused to hide the girls she dating from the public but she knew it was their loss and not hers. "I have fully been told, 'If you just like do yourself a favor, and don't go out holding your girlfriend's hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.' I don't want to work with people like that," Stewart exclaimed.
Lately, the “Charlie’s Angels” actress has really become very vocal and honest. She seeks to live true and proud every day. “Everything that I do, every conversation that I have, the way that I vote, the projects that I’m drawn to creatively… It would be impossible to go to bed without being really clear and open and honest in these times,” she told Deadline.
