Make-up mogul Kim Kardashian and comedian Pete Davidson have recently been the talk of the town amid dating speculations after the two were spotted holding hands while on a thrilling Halloween rollercoaster ride with pals on Friday.
Kim, 41, and Pete, 27, sat beside each other on a coaster at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park on Friday when they were photographed squeezing each other's hands just as the ride was about to drop at high speed.
However, an insider quickly shut down the rumors, saying that the reality star and Staten Island funnyman are “just friends," Page Six reported.
“They hang in the same circles so they will be together from time to time,” the source added. “It’s just friends hanging out.”
Kim and Pete were with Kim’s sister Kourtney and her fiancé Travis Barker on Friday for some Halloween fun with family friends Tracy Romulus, Stephanie Shepherd, Harry Hudson, and others.
Another insider also said that Barker is an avid fan of Knott's Scary Farm and has been going there for years, according to E! Online.
Davidson is acquainted with the Kardashians through mutual friend Machine Gun Kelly, who is also friends with Kourtney's Blink-182 drummer fiancé.
This is not the first time Kim and Pete held hands in public. Just three weeks ago, their "Saturday Night Live" skit sent tongues wagging after the pair, dressed as Aladdin and Jasmine for the segment, held hands and kissed each other.
The skit would poke fun at Kardashian's Jasmine character, who had a penchant for men of color on the sketch and thus saw Davidson's Alladin unequipped to satisfy her sexual needs.
At that time, Kardashian reportedly asked for her ex, Kanye West, to assist her as she prepared for her high-pressure hosting gig.
Kimye was then spotted leaving a hotel together and riding the same car for "SNL," sparking reconciliation rumors amid their divorce, which the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum filed in February.
Meanwhile, Davidson had romantic histories with high-profile English actresses Kate Beckinsale and Phoebe Dynevor. In 2018, he and American songstress Ariana Grande called their wedding off after a brief engagement, Elle noted.
