Amid all the speculation surrounding Juan Gabriel’s health, the singer and songwriter has just released a new album celebrating his 40 years in show business. “Mis 40 En Bellas Artes” is a concert recorded live in Mexico’s most important concert venue. It’s a compilation of El Divo De Juárez’s best hits throughout his legendary career, proving once more why he is Mexico’s leading commercial singer-songwriter.

Juan Gabriel began his career in 1971 at the tender age of 21, when he signed a recording contract with RCA Records after years of performing in clubs, bars and anywhere he could. Over the next fifteen years, Juan Gabriel's fame grew as he recorded 15 albums, sold over 20 million records and made his acting debut in 1975 in the film Nobleza Ranchera. He wrote and recorded over 1000 songs in a variety of music genres.

He has penned many songs in diverse styles such as rancheras, mariachi, ballads, pop, rock, disco and more, with an incredible string of hits for himself and for leading Latin singers including Angélica María, Gualberto Castro, Aida Cuevas, Enriqueta Jiménez, Lucha Villa, Ana Gabriel, Lorenzo Antonio, and international stars José José, Luis Miguel and Rocío Dúrcal.

The new album, “Mis 40 En Bellas Artes” has 29 of his most iconic hits of all times, including “El Noa Noa,” “Querida,” “La diferencia,” “Siempre en mi mente,” “No tengo dinero,” “Pero qué necesidad,” “Abrázame muy fuerte” and many more. Along with the CD, there’s also the DVD of the concert, where Juan Gabriel explains the story behind each song he sang at the concert. Scroll down to take a listen to the album, but don’t forget to buy it along with the DVD as this is one is one for the ages and it should totally be in your personal collection!
