Donald Trump continues to cause waves in the media and his latest scandal is around his hosting duties at "Saturday Night Live." The Presidential candidate is set to helm the variety show on November 7 and a Hispanic coalition is not happy with NBC supporting this man and has started a petition to cancel his appearance. “We are appalled that you would enable Trump's hateful speech for nothing (more) than a ratings ploy and ask that you rescind the 'SNL' invitation,” the group said. The letter asks executive producer Lorne Michaels it's his responsibility to change the situation as well as to take time to discuss the lack of diversity and Latino representation on the show for the past two years, with no response.
Mr. Trump has weighed in on the situation and is extremely confident NBC will not turn their back on him as he will bring in the ratings to the show. “If they want to do the show with one-third the ratings, they might do that,” Trump told Fox News Channel’s "Fox & Friends." "As far as the Hispanics, these groups, I know these groups, if you talk to these groups you will find, what are they looking for? It is the same all over. I think frankly the ratings are going to be through the roof. Lorne Michaels is a very smart guy, NBC are very smart people."
As far as the Hispanic groups that are seeking to have him removed from the SNL show he said the following: "These groups are out for themselves. I know all about these groups. I’m leading in the polls with the Hispanics. I mean, you look at Nevada, I’m leading in the polls with the Hispanics because I produce jobs, and they know it. I have thousands of Hispanics that work for me, my relationships to Hispanics is I think better than those groups. Those groups are looking to fund-raise…I had one of them come up to my office practically the first thing was, ‘Gee whiz would you like to join?’ I said, ‘How much is it?’ and he said, ‘From $25,000 to $2 million.’" Watch the video down below and tell us if you think Donald Trump should or shouldn't host SNL!
