“Total Bellas,” the hit reality TV series starring Nikki and Brie Bella, has been renewed and is returning to E! for the fifth season. The twin WWE superstars will be back to entertain and perhaps impart life’s lessons as they reveal their personal lives.
“Nikki and Brie have never shied away from revealing every aspect of their lives to our viewers,” said executive vice president for development and production at E! Amy Introcaso-Davis via press release. “They’re strong women who are incredibly relatable and connect deeply with our audience.”
“Total Bellas” Season 5 is expected to continue where the reality series left off in the fourth season. This means that Nikki will showcase how she lives her life after her engagement with John Cena was called off in April 2018.
As for her twin sister, Brie, she will be filmed with her husband, Daniel Bryan. They will share how hard they are trying for baby no. 2 and how they juggle work and being parents to their 2-year-old daughter.
Unlike Season 4, the fifth season of “Total Bellas” will focus more on Nikki and Brie’s lives outside the ring. They have officially retired from WWE in March and will not be coming back due to their health. Nikki has neck issues, and a cyst was found on her brain. Brie, on the other hand, is trying to have another child.
Nikki said she wants to go back to the ring and compete for titles but doesn’t have any choice now. She values her health more, so she is retiring and will be exploring other career paths.
“I can’t compete. They found a cyst on my brain, which thank god, it’s benign,” she told TMZ. “I’m grateful for my health, I’m grateful it’s benign and it’s something that you have to watch out for the rest of your life because you never know how it can change, but I’m definitely grateful because people go through it worse.”
Nikki and Brie’s “Total Bellas” Season 5 will premiere in early 2020, and E! is expected to announce the exact air date soon. According to the twins, they are excited to share their life’s journey to the viewers and are hoping that they will inspire others to live their dreams.
