Woman Stabs Her Boyfriend To Death After Argument

A woman reportedly stabbed her boyfriend to death after an argument ensued between them at the apartment they were staying in Naniwa Ward, Osaka, Japan at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16.

The accused, identified as 33-year-old Yuri Tanaka, a part-time worker, is accused of fatally stabbing her 24-year-old boyfriend Kyo Matsui, whose occupation is unknown, at the apartment they were staying in Naniwa Ward, Osaka at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, Japan Today reported.

About 10 minutes after stabbing Matsui, Tanaka reportedly called emergency services and informed them that she had stabbed her boyfriend with a knife. Following this, Matsui was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment of his stab wound. However, despite the treatment, Matsui succumbed to his injuries and died about two hours later due to excessive loss of blood.

When questioned by investigating officers, Tanaka told the officers that she stabbed Matusi in a fit of rage after they engaged in a heated argument. She added that it was never in her intention to kill Matsui and that she didn’t think the knife wound had been deep enough to kill him.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a man allegedly stabbed his wife to death out of anger for not preparing chicken for his dinner in Davangere, Karnataka, India on Tuesday, June. 7, as previously reported.

The accused, Kenchappa, a road roller operator by profession, was reportedly notorious in his village for being an alcoholic and constantly engaged in heated arguments and fights with his wife, Sheela, over petty reasons while coming home intoxicated. Kenchappa had left his first wife after the couple was unsuccessful in having a child and married Sheela about nine years ago.

On Tuesday night, as Kenchappa once again arrived home inebriated, he noticed that Sheela had not prepared chicken for his dinner. Kenchappa immediately confronted Sheela and a shouting match ensued. The heated argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation as Kenchappa grabbed a knife and stabbed Sheela with it. Sheela, who suffered grievous injuries from the stabbing, succumbed to her fatal injuries and died.
