The Latin division of the advocacy organization for animal rights PETA is hoping that Sofia Vergara will pose naked for one of their campaigns, despite the Colombian actress denying the rumors that she would shed some clothes for this environmental group. "We love Sofia and would gladly work with her. I hope these rumors involving the beginning of a relationship between her and PETA are true," a spokesman for the organization told the press.

The highest paid actress on American television stepped out on Twitter last week about rumors that suggested that the voluptuous Colombian interpreter would follow the footsteps of other celebrities who posed nude in support of the fight against animal torture. The environmental organization has managed to convince celebrities like Eva Mendez, Sofia Sisniega, Rocsi Diaz, Evelyn Lozada, Daniella Alonso and Patricia de Leon to pose in sensual for campaigns against fur.

PETA campaigns against wearing animal skins and bullfighting, as well as encouraging a vegetarian diet. Latino PETA also has the support of Ricky Martin, Kate del Castillo, Penelope Cruz and Roselyn Sanchez, according to the organization. Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson has stripped several times for organizing in the United States. Vergara has denied the rumors, but she would hardly be the first Latino to strip for animal rights!
