Danna Paola has had a lot on her plate in the last couple of years, including theater plays, telenovelas, films and studio albums. However, keeping busy never stopped the 20-year-old Mexican artist from adding more gigs to her agenda.
Rumor has it, that the actress and singer will sign an exclusive contract with Azteca, despite the news that the network is doing economically bad and it might stop producing telenovelas.
According to TVNotas, the young star has been in the talks with Azteca since early 2014, negotiating a five-year contract for $3.5 million dollars. It's also rumored that Paola will soon make the big announcement, revealing her addition to the Azteca team, which already has many projects slated for her.
We wish Danna all the best in her new venture, though we're freaking out with the negative news regarding the Mexican network.
Just recently the network announced three new soaps during its Upfront presentation in New York. "Caminos De Guanajuato," "La Promesa" and "Tanto Amor" were the production titles revealed. However, it's believed that the network will stop producing novelas. Apparently, telenovelas are not generating sufficient profit and in fact, are losing money. "Tanto Amor" starring Melissa Barrera, Leonardo Garcia and Matias Novoa, could possibly be the last soap opera that the network produces. Azteca's plan to fill the time slots is to broadcast old telenovelas.
This chisme is a shocker because Azteca is the second largest mass media company in Mexico after Televisa.
