Real Madrid will fight for its place in the semifinals against Turkish team Galatasaray Tuesday April 3 at 8:45 p.m., EDT. The game will be aired on the Spanish public TV and streamed live here. National radio will also have a live commentary here. Turkish news outlets Ahram will be posting live updates here.
It is a nerve racking time for the Spanish team, as coach Jose Mourinho is hoping they will revisit their form of the first-leg of the Champions League.
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has kept his form throughout the competition, scoring his 43rd goal last Saturday against Real Zaragoza. Mourinho is worried about goals from other areas, particularly the shape of Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain.
"The goals will come. If they don't arrive on Wednesday, then they will do so in the next game -- but it is a reality that we are having some difficulties in scoring goals," said the coach.
He also confirmed that goalkeeper Iker Casillas will not be making an appearance despite returning to training following a hand injury.
Mourinho is determined to take the lead to Istanbul, and that even though some may think Galatasaray might be one of the easiest teams to beat, he did not share the opinion.
"This is a team that is used to the Champions League and has players that played for top clubs," he said.
Galatasaray coach Faith Terim knows his team's the underdog, but he insists they play conservatively and keep the tie within reach in prevision to the return leg in Istanbul next week.
