After a long month without news on our favorite singing high schoolers, "Glee" returns Thursday with an all new episode! Catch "Shooting Star" on FOX at 9 p.m. EST, or alternatively from next week on Hulu and fox.com.
In its four seasons, "Glee" has tackled numerous big issues, like teen pregnancy, gay identities and school bullying - and always put its own, musical spin on it. "Shooting Star," which is the episode 18 of season 4, will go on to the last frontier in school issues - shootings.
Several blogs have called that the episode will revolve around a "big incident" at McKinley High School. "Right at the start of a New Directions rehearsal focused on 'last chances' to share one's feelings, two shots ring out in the halls of McKinley," reads an entry on TV Line. "It's a gasp inducing moment that rips the frothy high-school musical off its foundations and transports it to a dark and harrowing world."
Jenna Mullins at E! called the episode a roller coaster: "You will feel like you got punched straight in the heart."
Show creator Ryan Murphy tweeted that it was the "most powerful emotional Glee ever."
Outside of Ohio, things are heating up. While Rachel gets ready for her big Broadway audition, former fiancé Finn is following his new found dream of becoming a teacher and scoping out colleges with best bud Puck. According to the preview, he goes somewhere warm, fun, and reckless - could the sweet Army dropout be moving to L.A.?
Tune in Thursday night to find out! "Glee: Shooting Star" will be on at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
