With the season 5 finale of "True Blood" leaving so many questions raised than answered the rumor mill has been working overtime.
"True Blood" has always gone to extremes in its first five seasons, but according to series star Joe Manganiello, new show runner Brian Buckner has some big plans in store for the June 16 premiere.
Joe Manganiello, recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly, "We're getting to the point in the season now where people are starting to die. The table reads are starting to get smaller, and I'm sure they will continue to do that."
Rumors have been circulating that in the sixth episode, Alexander Skarsgard's supremely sexy Viking Vampire Eric will meet the True Death! And worse yet, there have been some serious hints that this isn't just a vicious Internet lie.
It doesn't help knowing that the episode following Skarsgard's rumored last is titled "The Funeral."
This entire week has been spoiler galore for the hit vampire show.
In the first official clip was released from what was shown Jason is attempting to kill Nora, Lucy Griffiths, and Sookie is preventing him from giving her the true death. And when Sookie steps in between Jason and the gun, she makes a point of reminding him that Nora is Eric's, Alexander Skarsgard, sister.
This raises a couple of questions. Is Sookie just looking out for her brother's future, or are her feelings for Eric coming back in full force this season? Also what does Nora know that would make Jason so angry?
ScreenCrush.com has reported that the show will also see a lot of new faces and some returning. 'Last Resort' star Robert Patrick, Jackson Herveaux or Alcide's father, has been upgraded to series regular, while "True Blood" Season 6 also features the return of Anna Camp's Sarah Newlin, Luke Grimes as the "Jim Morrison of vampires," 'House's' Karolina Wydra, Rutger Hauer as mysterious vampire Macklyn, "Rubicon's" Arliss Howard as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell, and "Eastenders" star Robert Kazinsky as a series regular and new Fae love interest to Sookie.
Few other details are available on the sixth season of HBO's fang-banging hit, though it's known that "True Blood" Season 6 will take place over 10 episodes, down from the usual 12, largely to accommodate series star Anna Paquin's pregnancy with co-star Stephen Moyer.
The June 16 premier is approaching but if you need a "True Blood" fix watch the teaser trailer below and the first official clip.
