The White House took to social media to share images of President Donald Trump standing beside a copy of the Declaration of Independence he had displayed in the Oval Office.
The images were shared on the White House Instagram profile, Trump's official Instagram account and Trump's official presidential X (formerly Twitter) account, on Monday. They feature the Trump moving a dark blue drape obscuring the frame away with his hand to reveal a copy of the Declaration of Independence placed on display.
Right beside where the Declaration is mounted onto the wall is a map of the Gulf of Mexico displayed on an easel, with it's name changed to say "Gulf of America".

"The Nationals Archives delivered the Declaration of Independence to the White House at the President's request. It is displayed in the Oval Office where it will be carefully protected and preserved," press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
The original Declaration will remain displayed in the National Archives building, where anyone can come in to view the faded document and learn about its historical significance.
"The Declaration of Independence in the Oval Office," read the caption of the post.
The copy of the document is just one of the numerous new decorations the 47th President has added to the Oval Office, including a painted portrait of seventh U.S. President Andrew Jackson, a portrait of first President George Washington, a bust of Winston Churchill and finally, a Trumpian touch -- a button the President can press to order a Diet Coke.
