Top Gear Season 19 episode 6 airs Sunday, March 3 at 8pm GMT on BBC2.
Last week, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond set off to build a vehicle fitted with the ultimate innovations in passive and active safety as a service to senior drivers. To see whether their modified Fiat Multipla Rover James people carrier was up to snuff, Clarkson and Hammond allowed three pleasant grandmothers to evaluate their work.
After gaining favor with Britain's elderly, the Top Gear presenters will be headed for Africa this week for a British diplomatic service mission. Could Jeremy Clarkson be running for Prime Minister?
In Top Gear Season 19 episode 6, the team will travel for Central Africa to find the source of the Nile River. In order to make to begin the journey, each presenter chose their own station wagon -- Jeremy Clarkson uses a BMW 5-Series Touring, James May uses a Volvo 850R Wagon, and Richard Hammond uses a Subaru Impreza WRX 5-door hatch.
An epic journey, Clarkson, Hammond, and May will be following along the same path as the pioneering explorers of the past as they follow along the length of the Nile. The Nile snakes for more than 4,000 miles, with the sourch lying in either Rwanda or Burundi. Other Countries along the river include Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, and Egypt before reaching the Mediterranean Sea.
Be sure to catch Top Gear Season 19 Episode 6, the first of a two-part episode, on Sunday, March 3 at 8pm GMT on BBC2.
