Good news for anyone waiting on any news from the upcoming fourth installment of the "Super Smash Bros." title! It seems "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS could have a Spring 2014 time frame. Neckar-Chronic, via NeoGAF, Bernd Fakesch spoke with IGN where he said, "At Christmas we now want to inspire with titles like 'Wii Party U,' 'Wii Sports Club' and 'Super Mario 3D World,' the classic Nintendo Family for the new console. For next Spring two more big license games are also announced for our TV console with 'Mario Kart 8' and 'Super Smash Bros.'"

Unfortunately there was no word given on the release date or the territories for "Super Smash Bros." for the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo has been contacted and has yet to make any comment about the release date. However, the company earlier this week revealed the Skull Kid Trophy Assist. The company also revealed a "Super Mario Galaxy" inspired stage that will appear in the Wii U version of the game but possibly not the 3DS version. Seeing as both games will not have cross-platform play and will feature different stages for both platforms.

Meanwhile, earlier last month Nintendo announced that veteran fighter Marth would be fighting in the upcoming "Super Smash Bros." game. Marth makes the headcount 18 characters announced for the upcoming title. Besides Marth, the character roster includes: Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Pit, Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Pikmin & Olimar, Luigi, Peach, Toon Link and Sonic. For more information on the characters announced thus far check out the official "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS webpage.
