So much has been revealed such as new support characters in the 3DS Smash Run mode, Mii fighter customizations, stage hazard characters and much more! We have rounded up some of the latest news that you the gamers should know, so check it out below:
During Nintendo's presentation during E3 the company revealed that gamers will be able to input their Mii characters into "Super Smash Bros." as a playable fighter. Well last Friday Masahiro Sakurai revealed more news saying gamers have the ability to change their Mii's height which will play a role in the way they fight. If your Mii is short of tall it will determine if that fighter is a power or speed fighter.
Masahiro Sakurai recently revealed that Poppants (a rare enemy in the Subspace Army) will join "Super Smash Bros." 3DS Smash Run mode. Poppants will not be a playable character but will scamper around the arena and drop a variety of items. Check out the picture of Poppants after the jump.
In the middle of last week Sakurai revealed a new aspect of the 3DS version of "Super Smash Bros." called Balloon Fight. While very cool there was still a lot of unanswered questions. First, is this actually a standalone mini game or just a feature of a new stage, or both? Also will gamers be able to choose from more than The Villager character? Lastly, Is this a 3DS exclusive or will it also come to the Wii U version? Whatever the case check out the image of Balloon Fight below:
Another Miiverse post from Sakurai revealed that Nabbit will appear on the Wii U version's Mushroom Kingdom U stage. While Nabbit is not a playable character it is a stage hazard instead. Along with a picture of Nabbit being chased by Kirby Masahiro added this caption to describe what viewers were seeing writing, "Here’s Nabbit, who appears in the Mushroom Kingdom U stage. You can’t see him, but Luigi is inside Nabbit’s bag." Check out the screenshot below.
Nintendo announced Amiibos, which is the company's new line of toy figurines. The toys will work across a line of Nintendo games like "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS as well as "Mario Kart 8" and more. The figurines are said to be used to store your unique customization data of whatever toy you own, which allows gamers to create versions of the characters with unique moves. Think "Skylanders" and "Disney Infinity" but for Nintendo characters. Check out the Amiibos intro video below:
The next installment for "Super Smash Bros." will launch Oct. 7, 2014 for the 3DS and sometime during the winter for the Wii U.
