Seriously major “Star Wars 7” leaks and announcements were revealed this week. TMZ unleashed more than 60 new images from the film set in Abu Dhabi as well as the Star Wars soundstage in London. In one of the London photos, fans will be delighted to see a full-size Millennium Falcon.
Plot details of “Star Wars: Episode 7” are limited but according to reports from Screen Crush, Han Solo is very much the lead of the latest Star Wars film. Furthermore, Han Solo, played once again by Harrison Ford, will not be a real Han Solo if he did not have his sidekick Chewbacca and his trusty ship, the Millennium Falcon. According to rumors, “Star Wars: Episode 7” will link the original trilogy to the newer movies.
"I'm just delighted to be involved. We haven't started filming yet, but we have a great script and a wonderful cast," Harrison Ford said in an interview last month. "J.J. Abrams is a director at the top of his game and I'm looking forward to it. It'll be great fun."
Joining Harrison Ford in “Star Wars 7” will include original cast members Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. New talents in the cast will include Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie.
Filming had already begun by the end of May and Enstarz had managed to speak with an extra on the set. According to the report, one of the first scenes involved Daily Ridley’s character, who must perform "EXTREMELY gymnastic" moves before the camera. According to Enstarz, Daisy Ridley’s body double is dancer Hannah Collins.
"Today was very exciting, very exhausting, but really awesome," said the film extra. "It was all about action today, explosions were awesome, and Daisy amazing like always, light on her feet, sharp face, beautiful, quick and very polite."
Star Wars also officially announced that Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o and Game of Thrones heroine Gwendoline Christie will be joining the film.
"I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII," said Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy in a statement. "It's thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape."
The “Star Wars 7” release date is expected to be Dec. 18, 2015. Stay tuned as we learn more in the months ahead.
