Snapchat is now allowing users to link their Discover content directly to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook, reports Digiday.

When sharing the links will lead users to a page with a QR code, which they can click through to open the app or scan if they are looking at it on desktop. You could also take a screenshot of the QR code and use it as a reminder to open the post later on too. Dubbed "deep linking," this allows users to access specific pages or content within apps, rather than just the home screen.

"The channels are working on new ways to get people into Snapchat beyond just having to open the Snapchat app," one source in charge of a Discover channel told Digiday.

Snapchat has gradually been making it easier for publishers to share their channels and content outside the app. Just back in January, the app made it possible for all accounts to share links to their QR codes on the Web, Forbes reports. But the real question is will this new feature attract people who don't already use Snapchat? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, Snapchat is taking part in World AIDS Day by offering a series of filters. The social media giant has teamed up with (RED), and designed three new filters in partnership with Tïesto, Jared Leto, and Jimmy Kimmel, reports Refinery29. To help out is quite simple, whenever one of these filters are used $3 will be donated by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to (RED). So go check out the filters now as they'll only be available for today.
