Singapore Man Coerced His Half-Brothers, 8 and 10, To Perform Sexual Acts On Him

A 20-year-old Singapore youth has confessed on Wednesday to repulsively instructing his two toddler half-brothers, who are 10 and 8 in age, to execute sexual acts on him on a handful of occasions.

The offender pleaded guilty on Wednesday, June 23, to two counts of procuring the commission of an obscene act from a child, The Straits Times reported. A gag order has been put in place to withhold and protect the identity of the two young victims of abuse.

According to court documents, the predatory older brother stayed with his mother's new family on several occasions sometime between August and September last year. The accused reportedly acted on his sexual gratification during this time.

During one incident, the sex offender is accused of grabbing his 10-year-old half-brother's hand after the toddler lost to him playing a video game. He proceeded to say that he had an idea of how to "punish" his little sibling for his loss, forcibly placing the child's hand on his crotch, Deputy Public Prosecutor Bryan Wong noted in court.

The 20-year-old then coerced the boy to pleasure him as a "reward" for his victory in the game against the child, offering the minor 5 Singapore dollars if he performed the act. The child relented, scared of being threatened and pummeled by his older brother. The 10-year-old went on to refuse to receive the money.

A similar incident played out in September last year when the older sibling turned to prey on his eight-year-old half-brother during another visit.

"Despite refusing at first, (the boy) agreed to do so due to the accused's persistence," Wong said.

The two victims' father, the suspect's step-father, filed a complaint days after the incident.

District Judge May Mesenas said that the case will be assessed for the probability of probation and reformative training.

Individuals who are sentenced to reformative training will be detained and be obliged to follow a strict regimen that includes foot drills and counseling. The court has been adjourned and to be reconvened later this week.

In a similar but unrelated story, a middle-aged Singaporean man has been accused of sexually grooming his underage stepson to perform sexual acts, the Channel News Asia reported.

The 55-year-old suspect, whose name is being withheld due to a gag order to protect the identity of the minor, was charged on May 4 with multiple heinous crimes including sexual assault by penetration, sexual assault of a minor, outrage of modesty, and procuring an indecent act by a child.
