About five days ago, it was reported that Caguas officials were in the search for 52-year-old taxi driver, Jesús Manuel Pereira Camacho. The man was identified as a suspect in a child prostitution case involving kids between 6 and 11 years old. On Friday, judge Juan B. Rivera charged the suspect with kidnapping, human trafficking, child abuse and sexual abuse.
According to Univision, Pereira Camacho agreed to turn himself to the authorities but when U.S. Marshals received notice that he was staying at his relatives’ house in Houston, Texas, they alerted Caguas’ police department and proceeded to arrest the criminal.
Reports revealed that Tania Figueroa Pagán was prostituting her daughter with the help of her husband, Kenneth Martínez Báez, since 2013 and the sexual acts took place in the presence of their other kids, 9, 8, and 6 years old, in a neighborhood in San Lorenzo. Both have been charged with child prostitution and incest and are under a $60 million bail. They will face the judge in court for the first time on October 14.
When Figueroa Pagán was confronted about the horrendous crime she replied, “Never, I would never, I would rather be dead. I would let God punish me before I even dare to do something like that.”
