Ricky Martin Announces Collaboration With 'A Different Fur'

International music star Ricky Martin announced his collaboration "RICKY MARTIN by .ADF" with A Different Fur, a brand that seamlessly blends luxe quality with clean style - to introduce an exclusive collection of men’s apparel and accessories. The limited-edition collection will be available October 1st on www.RMADF.com and adifferentfur.com. A part of the proceeds will go to the Ricky Martin Foundation.

“I’ve been wearing .ADF pieces a number of years, so having the chance to design my own collection with a brand I already know and love is a dream come true,” says Ricky Martin. “I have always loved .ADF’s aesthetic of simple sophistication & quality over quantity, so with this collection I wanted to create pieces that I would easily wear everyday".

Martin’s incredible career and influence across music, dance, TV, stage & film has made him a fashion global icon. For this collaboration with Ricky Martin, the creative team at .ADF used their staple pima cotton material drawing inspiration from Ricky's on the go Lifestyle. The collection showcases tones such as Aquamarine, Cool Grey, White & Deep Sea - "this palette of colors always creates the mood for us", said Alex Garcia, .ADF designer. The collection will include a range of T-shirts, henley's, hoodies & pants all made from the finest pima cotton. The collection ranges in price from $49.00 to $129.00.

Latin Times inteviewed Alex Garcia about his collaboation with music star Ricky Martin.

Alex, how did this collaboration with Ricky Martin come about?

We've been fortunate enough that Ricky has been a fan of ours for a few years now and we discussed an interest in creating something special for him, his own collection, that he would love to wear on a daily basis.

Was the inspiration behind the styles your idea or Ricky Martin?

Ricky had a lot of great input on ideas and we executed them in our style of interpretation, something that would be a blend of both Ricky & .ADF

How is this line different from any other in the market?

Our .ADF principles are very simple: SIMPLY PIMA. WEAR WHAT U LOVE. We always start by using the highest quality pima cottons from Peru that we choose ourselves for their softness and strength. Then everything is made with high quality construction that lasts. And lastly, we pride ourselves on our love for simple, clean design aesthetics with subtle details and beautiful vibrant colors. It makes us who we are and when you put it all together you will see that we stand out. Ultimately it's about individuality & expression.

What inspires you as a designer?

The creative process. I love working on something from an idea to sketch to drawings to product. For me it's about adding form to function.
