Héctor David Jr. Rivera, a 35-year-old actor has been sentenced to jail following a violent altercation with a disabled man. He is best known for his role as the Green Power Ranger in 'Power Rangers Samurai' and 'Power Rangers Mega Force.'

According to public court records, Rivera pleaded guilty to battery charges as part of a plea deal with the Canyon County prosecutor's office. The incident occurred last year in Idaho.

As part of the agreement, the judge sentenced Rivera to 180 days in jail, equivalent to six months, but he will only serve 45 days behind bars. The remainder of the sentence includes two years of probation and 100 hours of community service.

The case against the Latino Power Ranger

The situation was exacerbated by details from the local police, who reported that Rivera got into an altercation with a man in his 60s who required a walker to move. Rivera pushed the man to the ground and fled the scene. Witnesses reported that the actor drove off in a black SUV with Texas plates.

A witness's dashcam captured the incident, showing Rivera dressed in a red sweater and pants, fighting with the elderly man in a residential parking lot. The footage shows Rivera pushing the man and yelling at him before leaving the scene.

The confrontation reportedly stemmed from Rivera parking his vehicle in a handicapped parking space, according to The Idaho Statesman.

Similarities to Pablo Lyle's case

The incident draws comparisons to the case of the Mexican telenovela actor Pablo Lyle, who pushed a man of similar age during a road rage incident in Miami. Tragically, the man in Lyle's case hit his head on the pavement and died shortly after.

Lyle was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and is not eligible for parole until 2026.
