Award-winning Indian actress Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to shut down rumors suggesting she and Nick Jonas are heading for divorce over an alleged "strain" in their marriage.
Her controversial move to drop both of her last names from her social media accounts appeared to have fanned the flames on the breakup speculation. Her accounts, which were previously named Priyanka Chopra Jonas, are now just Priyanka, according to Elle.
Known for her media-friendly attitude, the model playfully shed some light on the breakup rumors by leaving a steamy message on her husband's black and white workout video on IG, which the "The Voice" coach posted on Monday afternoon.
“Damn! I just died in your arms," she opined on the post featuring Nick performing some bicep curls, Page Six noted.
She finished her comment with emojis, including a naughty red hot face with its tongue out, to hammer home that they remain as strong as ever.
While the couple is often separated due to their work commitments, they make sure to see each other every three weeks, Chopra said in an earlier interview this year.
“Wherever we are in the world, we fly to each other at least once a month for a couple of days. It was our rule when we first got married. Otherwise, we’d never see each other. Our teams also had to get married!” she laughed.
“They have to talk to each other like, ‘I am scheduling her here. No, we can’t do it... This is when we’re free... We have to move this,’” she added. “It’s like a big marriage. It’s not just us but our families and teams, too.”
Priyanka's marriage with Nick, 29, has become the subject of substantial media coverage despite her efforts to keep her off-screen life as private as possible. Their 10-year age gap and cultural differences seem to have always been a topic for debate by many critics.
However, in January this year, Chopra, 39, made it clear these dissimilarities have never been a relationship "hurdle." She got engaged with the Grammy-nominated actor just two months into their dating in 2018, tying the knot the same year, Fox News reported.
In previous interviews, Priyanka said she is looking forward to starting a family, perhaps 'a cricket team'-worthy number of children, with Nick soon.
