Amidst the many rumors on Prince William and Prince Harry's rift, there is one story that many have overlooked. Find out what the older monarch told his younger sibling before the latter tied the knot with Meghan Markle and that may have caused them to drift apart.
It is a known fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton dated for several years as compared to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dating and getting engaged in less than two. That being the case, the older sibling expressed his concern for the speed at which his younger sibling's relationship was taking place. It's been reported that Prince William asked his younger sibling if they may be moving too quickly - a question that could have rubbed the latter in the wrong way.
Ill intended or not though, Prince William did have a point. His relationship with Kate's had always been in the public eye, so not only had Kate grown somewhat accustomed to dealing with the press, but the public had also grown to accept the idea of Kate as a Royal over time. On the other hand, by the time that Prince Harry had introduced Meghan to the public - they were more or less to be engaged by then.
The public and the press felt blindsided and they didn't take lightly to it. As if that weren't bad enough, Meghan isn't a stickler for tradition - so reports of her deviating from practices that royals are accustomed to seemed to have added fuel to the fire.
An example of such is when it was reported that Meghan and Prince Harry were being rude towards royal aides who told them that the Queen would not allow the former to wear an emerald tiara that she had originally wanted to wear for the wedding. It apparently got to the point where the Queen sternly told Prince Harry that what Meghan wants, she won't always get - she should accept what is given to her.
Now that the Sussexes are at war with several British publications and are constantly scrutinized by the public - it'd be no surprise if we find Prince Harry doubling back to his older brother's words of concern.
