Univision is set to premiere "Por Siempre Joan Sebastian," the bio series based on the life of the late "Poeta Del Pueblo." José Manuel Figueroa and Julián Figueroa will give life to the singer, song writer throughout different stages of his life. Other actors participating in this production include Lumi Cavazos, Arcelia Ramirez, Irán Castillo and many more. "Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" starts on Monday, June 27 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. 1. Sebastian will be played by his real life sons José Manuel and Julián Figueroa.

"Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" is a mini-series that follows the life and career of legendary Mexican singer/songwriter Joan Sebastian honoring his accomplishments just a year after his untimely death. This story will pay tribute to the "people's poet," as he is affectionately known, giving audience a unique look at the life of the singer as a child, his many struggles growing up, and his meteoric rise to fame. Livia Brito will play the role of Maribel Guardia, one of Sebastian's true loves.
A touching story of a poet who never surrendered in the face of adversity, the mini-series takes us back to the 1950s to the small Mexican town of Juliantla, where Sebastian was born and, ultimately, died last year.
