Joan Sebastian's life is being honored by a new bio series. "Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" is a new production that tells the story of the legendary Mexican singer/songwriter. The story will pay tribute to the "people's poet," as he is affectionately known, giving audience a unique look at the life of the singer as a child, his many struggles growing up, and his meteoric rise to fame.
Here are eight reasons why you can't miss "Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" on Univision:
1. Inspirational: The singer had an interesting life of a man who chased his dreams and never gave up until he finally realized them. There were hardships and ups and downs, but he was able to succeed.
2. Love Drama: Any series has to have a love triangle and Sebastian's had a real telenovela moment. We all remember how he was married to Maribel Guardia and during the shooting of "Tu y Yo," he had an affair with a fellow actress. This love affair will be depicted in the series.

5. Julián Figueroa: Guardia's son is also giving life to his father during his younger years.
6. Carla Estrada: She is behind some of the biggest telenovela classics like "Amor Real," "El Privilegio De Amar" and "Lazos De Amor," we can't wait to see what she does with "Por Siempre Joan Sebastian."
