The Pokémon Company has revealed an all-new trailer giving viewers an update to the titles "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." In the video we finally learn the Legendary's names as well as some of their signature moves and abilities.
First introduced is the Legendary lion-type Pokémon named Solgaleo. This creature graces the cover of "Pokémon Sun" and is a psychic and steel-type 'mon. Solgaleo has the ability Full Metal Body, which prevents its stats from being lowered and has a new move called Sunsteel Strike.
Up next is Lunala, which will be on the cover of "Pokémon Moon." This legendary is a psychic and ghost-type Pokémon with the ability Shadow Shield, which allows the 'mon to take less damage from attacks coming from Pokémon with full HP. The 'mon also has the signature ability Moongeist Beam.
Both these signature abilities, Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam, ignore the abilities of the 'mon they hit.
Furthermore, the trailer revealed Rotom, which was introduced in "Pokémon Diamond" and "Pokémon Pearl" and will be added to the next generation Pokédex. The electric and ghost-type Pokémon that often possesses household appliances will able to speak to gamers in the coming titles.
We also get a look at some of our allies such as Professor Kukui alongside his mysterious assistant Lillie, and Hau, the gamers' "new friend in Alola."
The Pokémon Company has updated its "Sun and Moon" webpage, giving more details on each character and the Alola region. The new region is made up of four major landmasses, with small surrounding islands.
The website further introduces a new feature for "Sun and Moon." The game will add a QR code scanner, that allows gamers to register unseen Pokémon, adding a location marker for where they can be caught to your Pokédex. So, no more aimlessly wondering around the map to find the rare 'mon.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" will be released for Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18 in the U.S. and Nov. 23 in the UK.
