Despite the lack of a definite “One Punch Man” Season 3 release date, fans are already hyped and ready for the third season. Here are a few details and speculations about the upcoming show.
‘One Punch Man’ Season 3 Release Date
The good news is that “One Punch Man” Season 3 is definitely coming. The show’s official Twitter account already confirmed that a third season is being planned, according to Screen Rant.
The bad news is that there is no official announcement about the “One Punch Man” Season 3 release date yet. Now, this might be a bit worrying to fans considering the massive almost four-year gap between the first and second season.
However, there were a couple of valid reasons why season 2’s release was much delayed. At that time, there was a change in the animation staff and they even decided to switch studios which contributed to the delay.
Thankfully, those two factors are no longer issues this time. According to Screen Rant, fans can optimistically expect the third season to be out by the second half of 2020 as the earliest but a more realistic projection is that it might be out by 2021.
‘One Punch Man’ Season 3 Plot
Fans have already seen a few members of the Monster Association in the show’s second season. In the third season, they’re likely to see even more of these villains as they’ll still play a significant role in the upcoming season’s plot.
This time, however, it’s the Heroes Association that will go into the offensive. They’ll launch an attack right into the Monster’s Association’s hideout. Fans can expect plenty of exciting one-on-one battles between major S-Class heroes against foes of similar power levels.
It Might Not Be Too Exciting For Saitama Fans
A few fans have been a bit disappointed that Saitama wasn’t featured enough in the second season. However, it looks like the third season will be more of the same, according to Screen Rant.
As previously stated, there will be plenty of one-on-one battles showcasing S-Class heroes like Zombieman, Atomic Samurai and Flashy Flash against the monster foes. While Saitama will definitely be around, he will have to share screen time with the other heroes. This is not necessarily a bad thing since the season would be awfully short if it will focus on Saitama who has the tendency to knock out his opponents with a single punch.
