After the defeat of Elder Centipede, the bald hero is set to return once more in “One Punch Man” Season 3. The studio has already confirmed that the animation series is in development, and the fans can expect the release date to be in summer of 2020.

Season 2 ended with the new villains Monster Association kidnapping Garou. If the TV series follows the manga, the story in Season 3 will focus on the Heroes Association taking on the villains.

Saitama is expected to get less screen time, Screen Rant reported. The focus will be on some of the other new characters like Garou, Child Emperor, and Atomic Samurai. The show will also have to spend some time to set up the new villains.

Although the next season will be mainly about the new characters, Saitama has a big role to play. In the manga series, he secretly helped the heroes in their mission. The show is also expected to continue with its trademark comedy.

The only concern about “One Punch Man” Season 3 that the fans have is about the quality. A section of the fan base didn’t like Season 2, and they want the studio to deliver in the third installment in order to redeem the TV series.

According to Comic Book, some of the reasons why the show suffered were the transfer of power from Madhouse Studio to J.C. Staff, hiring of a new creative team, and problems with the production schedule. He result was the animation quality that did not match fans’ expectations and there were also fewer fights.

“One Punch Man” Season 3 story gives the producers enough opportunities to create some epic fights. With the TV series already in development, it is expected to be released by the summer of 2020. However, there may be a delay of a year or two if the creative team working on the show is once again replaced.
