'Once Upon a Time' returns for its third season premiere tonight at 8pm ET on ABC. Last season ended on a cliffhanger of sorts. The town of Storybrook was saved from a disastrous fate and its inhabitants will live to see another day. However our OUAT heroes and villains have joined up to try and save Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) from Neverland and an evil Peter Pan. Last season while Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Joshua Dallas) looked on as Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) saved the town from reverting back into a forest, Henry was taken By Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Greg (Ethan Embry).

Tamara and Greg work for a mysterious organization known only as the "Home Office." The pair and their organization had one goal in mind when they came to Storybrook and that was to destroy all magic. At the end of season two Tamara and Greg change their plans and end up kidnapping Henry. Using a magic bean they take him through a portal into Neverland. Emma, Regina, Charming, Snow and Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) chase after Tamara and Greg but they are too late.

An unlikely hero returns in Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) as the notorious pirate decides he will help get Henry back. Everyone climbs onboard Hook's ship the Jolly Roger and they head through a portal into Neverland. When Charming asks Gold who they are up against Gold replies, "Someone we all should fear." Gold was referring to Peter Pan a demonic shadow that captures and holds children in Neverland. Pan has been searching for Henry for a long time. The reason the spirit wants the boy is not yet known.

Season three will open up with a flashback showing Henry's birth. Fans will get a bit of an origin story in that scene depicting Emma's reason for giving up her son. Later on in the season it will be revealed how Regina came to adopt Henry. You'll bet Mr. Gold a.k.a Rumplestiliskin had something to do with that arrangement. Episode one will take place in two worlds Neverland and the Enchanted Forest. When season two ended everyone believed that Neal (Michael Raymond-James) was dead.

Emma saw Tamara shoot Neal but what she does not know is he is alive in the Enchanted Forest. Neal is discovered on a beach by Princess Aurora (Sarah Bolger) and Mulan (Jamie Chung). The pair had already met up with Emma and Snow earlier in season two and helped them get back to Storybrook. Now Neal will have to rely on them to get back to his son Henry and the woman he loves Emma. Neal better get a move on if he wants Emma back. There are rumors of a possible love connection between her and hook.

While on board the Jolly Roger, Emma and her family as well as Gold, Regina and Hook have several obstacles to overcome including mermaids, a nasty storm and their trust issues with one another. Emma will also end up falling overboard but it looks like that may have been Mr. Gold's doing. There is so much to be expected in this season of "Once Upon A Time." There will be new characters introduced like Tinkerbelle and Ariel the mermaid as well as other exciting events like flashbacks showing Snow and Charming after he breaks the Evil Queen's sleeping curse. Are you excited for the return of "Once Upon A Time" tonight?
