It's been over five years since Olga Tañón left her heart in Cuba after joining Juanes and other artists at the 2009 "Paz Sin Fronteras II" concert in Havana. Now, six years later, the Puerto Rican singer will visit the Caribbean island to perform her greatest merengue hits of all times. She will have not one, but two concerts in December.
“The love, caring respect and brotherhood that the Cuban people have shown me for many, many years is immense,” Tañon said in a statement. “We are forming the introduction to the book that others want to write.” According to Latin Billboard, the singer is "presumably referring to other artists’ interest in performing on the island spurred by the thaw in relations with the United States."
The singer will perform December 5th in Santiago de Cuba and December 12th in Havana, where she will be joined by Descemer Bueno and other Cuban artists. Other artists who are also expected to give upcoming concerts in the island are the Rolling Stones and Earth, Wind & Fire.
