‘Nuestra Belleza Latina’ Gala 8 Recap: Denise, Alicia Get A Vacation From Osmel, Plus A Shocker During Elimination

As each week we get closer to finding out who the next beauty queen will be, drama is increasing among the girls. Six girls remain, and at the beginning of the show Sunday night, each one of them reminded viewers where they’re from and where they auditioned for this life-changing experience. Judges proceeded to express their opinion on each girl’s performance, and told them if they thought they were ready to go to the finals or not.

Our favorite guest judge, stylist to the stars Jomari Goyso, made a special appearance to send a very important message to the show’s fans. He reminded everyone that everyone has different opinions and to please stop insulting each other and the girls on social media, and instead, use their energy to support their favorite.

For their challenge, the girls were divided in pairs. Nabila and Josephine had to go on a treadmill and read the teleprompter. This exercise was to test their improvisation skills, diction and focus. Aly and María Elena got the acting challenge, and were joined by “Telesa” and Pedro Moreno. Meanwhile, Aleyda and Alina had to narrate a soccer match along Fernando Fiore.

Aly, Aleyda and Alina were revealed as the girls with the least support from the viewers. In the end, the one with the least votes was Aly Villegas with a 5%. “I think people that watch me every Sunday should realize that attitude beats beauty,” said Aly when she found out her low scores. “Guys, please vote for me because I know you’ll enjoy seeing me on TV,” she added. The other girls nominated Alina to the danger zone, but to everyone’s surprise, Osmel revealed that this week there wasn’t going to be an elimination.

Osmel also announced that he was dismissing Denise and Alicia, the godmothers, from their duty this week. He said he thinks they should be teaching the girls more, and told them to consider this time as a vacation, hoping that when they come back, they do it full throttle and ready to win. Meanwhile, this week, he will be the one taking care of the girls’ preparation.
