"Nuestra Belleza Latina" heats up as the competition gets more fierce week after week as another beauty had to abandon the mansion. The 8 remaining beauties were joined by Ilegales, who brought their contagious rhythm to the sixth gala. The godmothers went up on stage to sing and dance, much to the surprise of the contestants. The first task of the night by Team Denise was a Broadway-style performance inspired by "Moulin Rouge." The girls also showed off their interviewing skills various Univision celebrities like Jorge Ramos, Mark Tacher and Gerardo Ortiz. Gabriela had a particular hard time when she had to interview a clown, as she has a special phobia. Next up was Team Alicia who had their take on a live number inspired by Cirque Du Soleil. Gabriela, Aly, Nabila and Alina were the girls possibly facing elimination, nerves for them were at an all time high.
Another challenge the beauties had this week had them testing their car skills. Aleyda turned out to be the winner and received $10,000. Armando Correa, editor of People En Español magazine, chose Nabila to be on the cover of "Los 50 Más Bellos" this year. One of the best moments of the night was when Alina's boyfriend arrived with a mariachi band to propose marriage. The cuban beauty accepted and kissed him, but didn't want to lose focus on the competition. Gabriela and Aly were nominated and Prissila joined them as she was chosen by Team Alicia. Osmel announced that the fifth girl to be eliminated was Gabriela Alvarez from Venezuela. All her fellow mates cried as she was one of the most liked in the group. Alvarez left asking for piece in her home country.
Next Sunday, during the seventh gala of "Nuestra Belleza Latina" the girls will have to face very complicated challenges. Seven beauties remain: Aleyda (Puerto Rico), Alina (Cuba), Aly (Mexico), Josephine (Guatemala), Maria (Mexico), Nabila (Dominican Republic) and Prissila (Mexico), but one will have to abandon the mansion and the competition.
