Monica Spear died tragically in Venezuela on Monday, Jan. 6 after her partner and 5-year-old daughter were returning home from a vacation getaway. The incident happened on the Puerto Cabello-Valencia highway in Venezuela on Monday night when they were involved in an accident. Police reports state that unknown assailants approached the vehicle and attempted to assault the family, when they failed they shot the couple to death with Maya receiving only a wound on her leg from a shot.
Spear had been very active on her social networks recently sharing with her fans the beautiful country side of her home country. Three days prior to her death, on Jan. 3, she shared what would be her last photo, an image of her and her daughter looking over the lake of Mucubaji. The next day she posted a video selfie atop a horse with an incredible scenic background and Spear flirting with the camera. The day of her tragic passing she shared a video of the plains where she was staying it, which would be her last update on social networks. See her last images at the end of this post.
Mónica Spear's last project on television was in the telenovela "Pasión Prohibida" where she co-starred with Rebecca Jones, Roberto Vander and Jencarlos Canela. The latter wrote on Twitter, "I am without words. I will miss you friend. And to my lovely and beautiful Maya, I love you. You are not alone!" Roberto Vander who also co-starred with Spear wrote, "I am shocked and without words, only tears of saddness and anger. May you reast in peace my dear Monica Spear." Roberto Manrique who worked with her on "Flor Salvaje" said, "Moni, may all the light that you left in this world take you with peace to your destination. You are in my heart and everyone elses."
