Model Ruffles Feathers In More Than $600 Jean Paul Gaultier Naked Dress On Street

Jean-Paul Gaultier’s body illusion dress gets heads turning and jaws dropping after model Keeley Hazell struts herself wearing the $600 designer outfit down the streets of London. Hazell seemed to have enjoyed the exposure as she happily strolled for her Instagram story near the Chiltern Firehouse hotel in West London on Thursday.

According to The Sun, the 35-year-old model showed off her curves in the eye-popping maxi dress and jokingly captioned her post saying the dress is the perfect wedding guest attire. The much-talked-about ensemble is part of the latest Lotta Volkova by Jean-Paul Gaultier collection.

Designer Lotta Volkova made light of her latest pieces in an Instagram post as she explained the ready-to-wear items featured women’s bodies that have been printed on various clothing pieces that also include swimsuits and mesh tops.

“It was an incredible honor to be able to discover the archives, obsess and fetishize - reimagine the iconic Jean Paul Gaultier collections in the context of 2022 reintroducing them into a contemporary wardrobe.” Volkova wrote.

Barrister and feminist campaigner Dr. Charlotte Proudman relayed her dismay to the media saying the dress was not in keeping with what she had hoped she would see in the modern century. Proudman went on to question the need to objectify women in such a manner when women are already objectified enough today. The rather racy dress was immediately slammed on social media with some lost for words thinking what if kids would bump into someone wearing it while other netizens asked for the male version.

“However one chooses to dress, we’re looked at on the basis of our body rather than our ideas and here we are with an extremely expensive, sought-after designer encouraging women to objectify themselves in this way?" Proudman said.

The outlandish French designer Gaultier, now 70, is known in the fashion industry as an “enfant terrible” for his rather unconventional designs. He has dressed celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga and Cate Blanchett.

Model Keely Hazelle still manages to make some noise after being in an on-and-off relationship with actor Jason Sudeikis. Hazell has made a name with her modeling career in publications such as FHM.
