Meghan Markle needs no sartorial lessons. The Duchess of Sussex is, in fact, one of the most stylish royals in the British Royal Family.
Meghan launched her capsule collection titled “SmartSet” earlier this year. The venture, which is pegged as Meghan’s passion project, collaborated with John Lewis, Misha Nonoo, Marks &Spencer and Jigsaw for the same. Smart Set reflects Meghan’s sense of style and aims to serve as an impetus to empower women to dress for the job they want.
Meghan took to Instagram to give followers a peek into her chic corporate clothing line. The Duchess seemed elated to have the Smartworks Charity dress their 200th client—with accouterments and apparel from The Smart Set. It is reported that over 10,000+ items were purchased during the campaign.
The two-week campaign, which was launched in September, saw one item being donated for every piece that was purchased. The idea behind the line was to equip women to feel confident while living their dreams and pursuing goals.
Meghan, who happens to be the royal patron of Smart Works, was grateful to be a part of the campaign after she discovered a need for donating clothes that could be worn to interviews.“Thank you to the four brands who came together in supporting Smart Works on this special project - placing purpose over profit and community over competition,” said Meghan. “In convening several companies rather than one, we’ve demonstrated how we can work collectively to empower each other - another layer to this communal success story, that I am so proud to be a part of,” she added.
On the personal front, Meghan seems to have garnered support from royal insiders as even the Queen has been making adequate efforts to help Meghan settle in and feel more comfortable.
The Duchess has been in the spotlight for myriad reasons in the recent past. From being stationed at a separate balcony from The Queen and Kate Middleton on the Remembrance Day to her US Move with baby Archie, Meghan got people talking—though it’s still a long way ahead before people will be able to listen to her, as she recently put it. Indeed, it’s a year of big moves for Meghan.
