Singer Mariah Carey was hospitalized following an injury suffered on the set of her new music video on Sunday.

The 43-year-old was rushed to New York's Hospital for Special Surgery after she took a tumble while filming the video for the remix of her song #Beautiful with rapper Young Jeezy and dislocated her shoulder. The video was being directed by her husband Nick Cannon.

Carey's spokeswoman Cindi Berger said that doctors reset the pop star's shoulder and "she is fine and is recovering at home.

"Mariah will be fine," Berger, told People Magazine.

Mariah was shooting the video at Avenue nightclub in Chelsea in downtown Manhattan. The accident was kept quiet and an ambulance wasn't called because she had her private medical personnel on hand in case of any incidents.

The singer has not made any comments about the mishap.

"At a certain age when you're over 40, any kind of injury is like saying rigor mortis has set in," a source who has worked with the star told Daily News. "Mariah wants to always be young and fabulous and fit. She doesn't want you saying she eats Activia."

Nick Cannon stopped by Today Show and delivered an update on his wife's condition Tuesday morning.

"It was pretty serious," he said of the on-set accident. "Not only did she dislocate her shoulder, she actually cracked a rib and ... she chipped her shoulder bone."

"She was in this nice, beautiful gown, heels on and everything, and was kind of on this platform and reached and slipped and fell on her whole side," he explained.

Despite the wounds, Cannon insists his wife handled it all like "a trooper." "I was going to rush to the hospital with her, but she said, 'You get back in there and finish that video!'" he recalled. "Then, after they put her shoulder back in place, bandaged her all up, she came back to the video early in the morning and finished out everything."

Mariah is still expected to perform at a free concert on July 13 with Major League Baseball in Central Park to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief.
