Man Caught On Camera Repeatedly Sexually Violating Miniature Horse 'Mariah'

A Florida man has reportedly been caught on camera sneaking into a barn late at night and repeatedly sexually violating a miniature horse named "Mariah."

Santiago Victoria, 57, of Fellsmere, has admitted to having sexual intercourse with a horse on numerous occasions inside a four-stall Vero Beach barn owned by homeowner Catherine Engel, after he was caught engaging in sexual acts with the animal in surveillance cameras set up inside the barn, Daily News reported.

Engel reportedly set up CCTV equipment in her stables on Sept. 18 after finding bungee cords and ropes around the neck of a miniature horse “even though she never placed any on it.”

Shortly after 11 p.m. that day, Victoria was captured on camera sneaking in and getting “behind the horse in a sexual manner.” He was reportedly captured on surveillance footage standing behind the horse with his private parts in his hand.

Victoria reportedly returned to the barn three times in the next two hours to engage in sexual acts with the horse.

The second time Victoria entered the barn, he was shirtless, walked past three stalls, made his way into Mariah’s stall, and allegedly spent about 30 minutes behind that horse “while holding onto her hips with both hands.”

Roughly an hour later, Victoria returned to the barn for the third time. This time, Victoria was recorded with his pants around his ankles, penetrating the animal, the Smoking Gun reported.

Engel, who came to know about the molestation when she reviewed the surveillance footage, subsequently called the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident and identified Victoria as the suspect. She told the officers that Victoria worked for a welding company that parks vehicles on the same property where the barn is situated.

When officers confronted Victoria at his residence on Friday, Oct. 8, he reportedly admitted to having sexual intercourse with the horse. However, he said that he could not remember how many times he molested the poor animal. Victoria also told the officers that he did not have permission to enter the barn, Sebastian Daily reported.

Victoria has been arrested and charged with three counts of burglary of a structure and was transported to the Indian River County Jail, where his bond was set at $75,000. Victoria was also ordered to stay clear of the 5-acre property where "Mariah" lives.

Victoria, who has previously been convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and violating probation, is scheduled for arraignment on Nov. 29.
