
While Manchester United continues to research multiple players who will be able to help the club retain its English Premier League title this season, multiple reports indicate that Old Trafford's primary transfer target may not be ready to leave his current home.
According to ESPN FC, Barcelona midfielder and top Manchester United target Cesc Fabregas plans to remain at Camp Nou for the foreseeable future.
"My dream is to play here, I have never considered leaving," Fabregas said recently regarding his desire to remain at Barca. "I am at the best club."

The 26-year-old also indicated that he has not spoken with other clubs for over two seasons and while there has been strong speculation as to whether or not Fabregas was seeking a departure from Barcelona, the Arenys de Mar, Spain native knows he is in the right place.
"Triumphing in Barcelona has been my dream since I was a child," he said to BBC Sport. "I am very happy at Barcelona and I haven't spoken to any other club in the last 2 years. Stories have been invented. I was never given any sign from the club to make me think they didn't want me, I have always felt wanted."
"I spoke to [Barca vice-president Josep] Bartomeau, the president and Tata also told me he wanted me to stay and there's been no problem," he continued. "I know what Martino wants from me, it is very clear. I will have to work very hard."

Though he's happy to announce his plans to stay with Barcelona -- a club he's been with since 2011 following eight seasons with Arsenal -- Fabregas noted that his individual performance hasn't always been something to brag about, especially since he's constantly in the spotlight with one of the best club's in the world.
"What I need to do is play better," he told Mundo Deportivo in a recent interview. "I am at the most demanding and the biggest club in the world."
Cesc Fabregas recorded 20 goals in 60 appearances last season for Barcelona and as the club looks to end the 2013-2014 campaign with multiple trophies, expect their key midfielder to play a central role in the team's success.

Now that Fabregas has decided to remain with Barcelona, Manchester United will turn their attention to other players including Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and perhaps even former Old Trafford favorite Cristiano Ronaldo.
Not yet able to make a big splash in the transfer window, first-year head coach David Moyes and company will certainly continue to do their research in order to build a team capable of retaining Man U's 2012-2013 EPL title.
