Manchester United has been linked to the possible acquiring of Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas in recent weeks and though multiple reports indicate the former Premier League star will remain at Camp Nou, other sources reveal that the 26-year-old will in fact sign with Old Trafford.
According to The Express, the former Arsenal star and current Barca standout has agreed to join Manchester United after a productive 'secret meeting' took place between the soccer player's agent Darren Dein and Man U chief executive Ed Woodward.

Dein told Woodward that Fabregas wants to return to the Premier League and that United and not former club Arsenal, who have first option on the Spanish midfielder, is his preferred destination.
United have made three bids for the 26-year-old, the latest more than £30m and one which they were confident Barcelona would accept.
Now they believe it will be up to Fabregas to make his feelings known to the new Nou Camp manager and could even mean the former Gunner submitting a transfer request.

Adding a player of Fabregas' caliber would certainly help first-year head coach David Moyes lead Old Trafford to a second-consecutive English Premier League title but despite the report coming from The Express that the Arenys de Mar native is on his way to Manchester United, current Barcelona teammate Javier Mascherano believes Fabregas will remain at Camp Nou.
"I didn't talk to him but I think he is happy," Mascherano said to Sky Sports recently. "It is difficult when you have to speak about the personal situation of other players because sometimes you don't know what they think. I see him here training and he is happy. He grew up in Barcelona and feels the call of the shirt."
"It is difficult when you grow up here to leave because Barcelona is a big team, a big city, really nice to live in and all his family is here," he continued. "I think he is a really key player for us and I think the coach and the people who work here want to keep him."

A Barcelona insider also backed up the recent words of Mascherano, noting that despite recent rumors of a secret meeting, Fabregas is happy at Barcelona and doesn't want to abandon the team after only 2 seasons.
"Cesc is very flattered by United's interest and recognizes what a great opportunity they offer," a Barcelona source told The Sun. "But it's only two years since he left Arsenal and he doesn't want to turn his back on Barcelona so soon. It has been a battle trying to dislodge Xavi and Iniesta, or slot in successfully beside them, but he has had his fair share of games and wants even more."
A prime target of David Moyes since the transfer window opened, Cesc Fabregas has recorded a total of 20 goals in 60 appearances with Barcelona while leading the team to the 2012-2013 La Liga title.
In 8 seasons with Premier League affiliate Arsenal from 2003 to 2011, Fabregas helped lead the club to an FA Cup championship and a runner-up finish in the 2006 UEFA Champions League.
