A man reportedly stabbed his friend to death for getting close to his girlfriend in Dasarahalli, Bengaluru, India on Sunday, Oct. 9.
The accused, identified as Obera Victor, an African man, and the victim Soloman Ekene, 38, also an African, were close friends and had come on a business visa to India to do business together. While they were doing business together as partners, Victor reportedly met an Indian woman and fell in love with her.
The couple slowly developed a live-in relationship and started living together at an apartment at Kaveri Layout in Dasarahalli of Bengaluru. Ekene and Victor's girlfriend were reportedly close friends before she started living together with Victor, the New Indian Express reported.
However, when Ekene started interacting closely with Victor's girlfriend, Victor reportedly felt upset and engaged in a heated argument with Ekene. Slowly, the duo started fighting against each other over the girl. As the fights became regular, the duo ended their business ties and went separate ways. The victim was even warned by the accused to stay away from his girlfriend.
Tired of the constant fights between the two men, the woman also broke up with Victor. However, the lovers eventually solved their differences and started living together again, Times Now reported.
On Sunday, Oct. 9, Ekene paid the woman a visit when she was at the apartment with Victor. Enraged over this, Victor picked up a fight with his old friend. The heated argument slowly escalated into a physical fight, during which Victor, in a fit of rage, picked up a knife and stabbed Ekene to death. Ekene suffered grievous injuries in the stabbing and died on the scene.
After committing the murder, Victor left the scene and went into hiding at his friend’s house and was later arrested by the police.

After her family members fell asleep, at around 4:30 a.m., she began stabbing her sister, who was lying in the bed with her. She reportedly confessed to the officers that she stabbed her sister three to four times in the heart.
